New SUMO-GRIP System for Heavy Duty Groove-Turn Applications
ISCAR's new single-ended insert for heavy grooving & turning applications is based on the very successful TANG-GRIP family.
Features
• Tangentially oriented pocket creates a very rigid and
secure clamping.
• Very strong insert design enables machining at very
high feed rates of up to 1.0 mm/rev.
• Free, unobstructed chip flow, since there is
no upper jaw as in the other clamping systems.
• Recommended for machining large diameter parts
and heavy interrupted cuts
The new TAGB inserts will be available in widths of 8, 10 & 12 mm,
full radius and straight frontal edge with 0.8 mm corner radii.
They will be available in the most advanced SUMO-TEC grades
IC808 and IC8250.
The new TAGBA inserts for machining aluminum will be available in a width of 8 mm with full radius. They will be available in grade IC07.
The new TGBHL tools feature a user-friendly clamping and extraction device. They have an internal cooling system directed to the frontal cutting edge, which increases tool life in deep grooving applications.
